“Sing” is one of my all-time favorite animated/kids movies. When they announced the second installment, you could say that I was over the “moon” with joy. “Sing 2” picks up right where we left off in the original and features the same star-studded cast of amazing voice actors, including Matthew McConaughey Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Tori Kelly, Taron Egerton, and Nick Kroll. Overall, there’s only positives and only things to love about the sequel. You never know what you’ll get with a sequel; there’s always some type of fear that will mess up the original or that it just won’t live up to the hype. Luckily for me and all fans of “Sing,” the sequel was tasteful, original, and fantastic. With “Sing” being a top 3 kids movie for me, I was happy with how this one came out. The genuineness of it overall made this a special movie. While it could never be better than the original, it’s still an enjoyable movie that adds to the first film.

“Sing 2” is an extravagant 8.8 out of 10 and is honestly just a true treat of a film. It has everything you could want in an animated movie. It’s tailored towards kids, but features hilarious adult themed humor. With an exciting, original, and thought-provoking plot, “Sing 2” is a must watch for any music fan. If you enjoyed the first movie or movies such as “Onward,” “Megamind,” or “Despicable Me,” you’ll definitely enjoy this one. “Sing 2” is worth the watch, features a great voice acting cast, and is an easy watch at the end of the day.
