According to 283, the EP represents a departure from their usual style of rapping and adds to their list of creative flows as part of their feature run. “Ricky Pack” is an instant-gratification EP that will have listeners ready for the mosh pit and raging. “The combination of Shyneboikash’s style of music with our own unique sound is electrifying,” says 283.
The EP cover art is inspired by John Singleton’s “Boyz n the Hood” movie and the iconic scene where the character Ricky is gunned down in an alleyway. “Ricky Pack” pays homage to that particular scene and the attitudes of the ruthless and cutthroat characters throughout the entire film.
“We wanted to capture the essence and impact of that scene, which really spoke to us,” says 283. “The EP represents our own take on those characters and their attitudes.” ‘Ricky Pack’ EP is available on all streaming platforms, so be sure to check it out and join the mosh pit with 283 and Shyneboikash.
