I can’t say I can name another Paramount+ TV show and I bet if you’re reading this, you can’t either. However, with their recent masterpiece release, “The Offer”, they’ve put themselves right into the streaming wars. “The Offer” follows the story of producer Al Ruddy’s experience of making the 1972 film “The Godfather” with Francis Ford Coppola and all of the crazy events that went with it. “The Offer” features phenomenal acting from Miles Teller, Matthew Goode, Juno Temple, Giovanni Ribisi, Colin Hanks, and Dan Fogler along with a nearly perfect told story, great writing, and an overall movie-like production broken down into 10 hours of tv.
“The Offer” is a surprising and rejuvenating 8.9 out of 10 and is one of my favorite tv shows of the last few years. I’ve loved Miles Teller from the first time I saw him in “Project X”, but we are now truly living in a Miles Teller renaissance. I never knew I needed this genre of film exploring the creation of our favorite movies. I definitely would love to see them make a similar show for movies like Jaws, Star Wars, etc. If you have Paramount+, GO WATCH IT ASAP. If you don’t have it, I highly recommend paying for a month subscription so you CAN watch it. It’s one of the best story driven tv shows I’ve seen in recent years and despite being 45-60 minutes per episode, it’s an easy watch and VERY easy to get hooked on. If you’re a fan of “The Godfather” or any gangster movie for that matter, “The Offer” needs to be at the top of your watch list.
