NOPE (2022) Movie Review

Jordan Peele might be the greatest thriller director/creative of all time after releasing his first two breakout movies “Get Out” and “US” and now following up with his third film, “NOPE” which has been on my radar since the day he announced a new film. It stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun as residents of an isolated town who witness a mysterious and abnormal event and attempt to capture video evidence of an unidentified flying object. I absolutely love everything he’s ever been in or worked on. “Get Out” and “US” are not only two of my favorite movies of all time, but are also two of my highest-ranked movies as well. “NOPE” really just follows up that trend of AMAZING films and is breathtaking, amazing, and is a must-watch.

“NOPE” is a glorious and dramatic 9.4 out of 10 that had me on the edge of my seat…literally. Simply put, just go see it ASAP and see it in theaters. I don’t want to spoil this one at all, so I will keep this one short. Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun are all PERFECT in their roles. There are two perfect scenes that are the definition of thriller. Like all of Peele’s movies, I’ll need to watch “NOPE” a few more times to fully understand all of the nuances of it. Jordan Peele went three for three with his first three movies, but you’ll have to decide for yourself whether it’s better than his first two movies or if it falls a little short.
