When a TV show or movie breaks a kind of streaming or viewership record, you can usually expect the show to be worth the watch. While I didn’t join in the hype of watching Squid Game for a few weeks, I finally broke down and gave it a chance. Luckily for Netflix and their new hit tv show “Squid Game”,  it didn’t disappoint. While the show has received a massive amount of hype, it is in fact worth the watch and I’m very excited that a Korean based TV show has gotten so much love and publicity. “Squid Game” offers a lot to love and some incredible moments throughout season 1. The overall plot is predictable, but the journey is tasteful and filled with suspenseful turning points.

“Squid Game” is a thrilling 8.1 out of 10. The cast shined by presenting some of the best acting and well-written dialogue in any TV show of 2021. Hats off to Netflix and “Squid Game” for delivering one of the best new tv shows of the last few years. While the major plot is a bit expected, the character development and amount of emphasis on their storylines had me second guessing the predictability while watching. Most tv shows usually fall short, but “Squid Game” impressed me and is actually a gripping and remarkable production. If you haven’t seen Netflix’s latest smash hit, take the time to binge this one ASAP.
